The assignment was to create a garment reflective of an artist/designer chosen. 

I chose Issey Miyake, who is a Japanese fashion designer. He was known for his technology-driven clothing designs, exhibitions and fragrances. He also designed Artemide's Mendori table lamp and others as part of the IN-EI Issey lighting collection that combines the Italian brand's lighting expertise with signature folding technology.

Miyake's designs are abstracts, however, I didn't want my lamp to be like that. Therefore, I chose the traditional shape of a lamp.
